  3. CONTACTS+ is a Filemaker Pro (version 1.x) database. It’s main 
  4. purpose is to allow proper address details to appear (even 
  5. when some components of the address are omitted such as the 
  6. organization, country etc...) in Microsoft Word print-merge 
  7. documents. Other than that, you should find that CONTACTS+ is 
  8. just about as powerful and usable as any other ‘commercial’ 
  9. Contacts database/manager.
  10.     When exporting print-merge data, the FullAddress field 
  11. would replace all the individual fields that make up the 
  12. receipient’s address. You should also export the title, 
  13. firstname and lastname fields, to be used in the greeting line, 
  14. ie Dear [title] [firstname] [lastname]... Other fields do not have 
  15. to be exported.
  16.         Docu+ is a document manager. It is used in conjunction with
  17. Contacts+ v 1.4 or higher. You can create and store simple
  18. 1 page documents in Docu+ and then use the MiniLetter helper
  19. facility in Contacts+ to access the text stored in Docu+
  20. to create print-merge (1 page only) letters.

  22.     Plea: If you feel that CONTACTS+ or Docu+ has some useful
  23. value, & want to encourage ME to improve CONTACTS+ and develop
  24.  other ‘affordable & useful’ databases, & want to receive future 
  25. updates via email (personally sent by me), PLEASE send me a 
  26. cheque (in Australian $) payable to: Andrew Lee, or any 
  27. currency, for ANY amount that you find appropriate. I will 
  28. email (internet) you the latest version of CONTACTS+ 
  29. including its registered user’s password. If you do adopt ideas 
  30. from Contacts+ for your own database, don’t forget to include 
  31. me in the list of persons to thank :-). All suggestions for 
  32. improvements are welcomed.
